We are urgently looking for a skilled professional to manage and operate a ferry vessel for our operations in the DR Congo. The ideal candidate must be "hands-on," capable of both navigating the vessel and performing essential mechanical repairs.

• Role: Ferry Vessel Operator / Maintenance Specialist

• Location: DR Congo (Central Africa)

Job Responsibilities:

• Operation: Safely navigate and maneuver the motorized barge/ferry across river crossings, ensuring the safety of vehicles (4x4s), cargo, and passengers.

• Maintenance: Perform routine engine checks, minor mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance on the vessel’s propulsion systems and hull.

• Loading/Unloading: Supervise the balanced loading of vehicles and equipment on the deck to ensure stability.

• Safety: Maintain all onboard safety equipment and follow strict water safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in operating Ferry Vessels, Barges, or similar river craft.

• Strong mechanical background (ability to troubleshoot engine issues on-site).

• Willingness to relocate to DR Congo.

• Previous experience in Africa or remote locations is a plus.

Technician/Operator for bridge saw cutting machine. Minimum 5 years’ experience, should be able to read a design given by installer and input into bridge saw software screen. The technician should be able to produce a finished product and should be able to teach his fellow workers what to do with them (cutting, polishing, profiling etc). This technician should be able to produce granite tombstones, meaning he has to be a craftsman as well with good knowledge and experience for this type of work.

Functional Reports to Sift Incharge / Supervisors & Sr. Manager Production on day to day activities.

Day to Day machine operations.

Fault rectifications in process.

Man management

Material movement

Minimizing down time

Machine Maintenance

Achieving planned production and compliance to quality requirements

Reduction of down time, wastages leads to productively which will connect to net profits. 

Technically need to understand machine behaviors and process parameters.

Understanding customer specifications.

Expertise in Extruder Maintenance on daily basis.

Good Team work and follow up with peoples.

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

A person must be ITI- Electrical with 10+ yrs Experience

He must have worked in plants with Steam Turbine Generators, the experience of Sulphuric Acid plant is preferable

Must have Good Command in Control Schematics Reading

Must be well conversant with O&M of ACB, VCB, Transformers, Battery bank & Battery Charger, Centralized UPS and Fire Hydrant Systems

Must have knowledge of 11KV Cable Termination apart from Glanding and Termination of all types of LT Cables.
