Auto Electrician
Location: Central Africa
Experience: 5+ Years
Job Summary: The Auto Electrician is responsible for
diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vehicles,
including cars, trucks, buses, and other automotive equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnosis: Diagnose electrical faults in vehicles, CRDI
engine using specialized equipment and techniques.
2. Repairs: Repair or replace electrical components,
including wiring, circuits, and electronic systems.
3. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as
battery testing, charging, and replacement.
4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex electrical issues,
including those related to engine management, transmission, and braking
systems.
5. Installation: Install new electrical components,
including alarms, immobilizers, and other aftermarket accessories.
6. Testing: Conduct tests to ensure electrical systems are
functioning correctly and safely.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs,
maintenance, and testing.
8. spare planning for preventive maintenance and critical
items keep on site.
9.take care of high value items & tools and send old
parts to HO.
10.share daily reports, parts request, consumption with HOD
/manager & consul person.
Requirements:
1. Education: Post-secondary education in automotive
electrical systems or a related field.
2. Experience: 4+ years of experience as an auto electrician
or in a related role.
3. Certifications: Valid certifications, such as ASE or IMI,
may be required.
4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in automotive electrical
systems, including diagnosis, repair, and maintenance.
5. Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and
time management skills.
Working Conditions:
1. Work Environment: Automotive repair shops, dealerships,
garages and site.
2. Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced
environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
3. Shift Work: May require rotating shifts, including
evenings, weekends, and holidays.
