Ferry Vessel Operator (Operator + Maintenance)
We are urgently looking for a skilled professional to manage and operate a ferry vessel for our operations in the DR Congo. The ideal candidate must be "hands-on," capable of both navigating the vessel and performing essential mechanical repairs.

Role: Ferry Vessel Operator / Maintenance Specialist
Location: DR Congo (Central Africa)

Job Responsibilities:
Operation: Safely navigate and maneuver the motorized barge/ferry across river crossings, ensuring the safety of vehicles (4x4s), cargo, and passengers.
Maintenance: Perform routine engine checks, minor mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance on the vessel’s propulsion systems and hull.
Loading/Unloading: Supervise the balanced loading of vehicles and equipment on the deck to ensure stability.
Safety: Maintain all onboard safety equipment and follow strict water safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in operating Ferry Vessels, Barges, or similar river craft.
Strong mechanical background (ability to troubleshoot engine issues on-site).
Willingness to relocate to DR Congo.
Previous experience in Africa or remote locations is a plus.
