About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical Executive
– Finance & Accounts to oversee and manage end-to-end accounting
operations, financial reporting, and budget control for non-profit and CSR
foundation programs.
Based on-site in Central Africa, this position plays a
pivotal role in maintaining robust financial records, ensuring strict adherence
to internal controls, managing cash flows and vendor reconciliations, and
delivering reliable management information systems (MIS) reports.
Key Responsibilities
1. Core Accounting & Reconciliation
- Maintain
primary accounting records, vouchers, petty cash, bank entries, and
general ledgers.
- Conduct
regular bank, cash, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review
invoices, payment requests, quotations, and supporting documentation prior
to processing.
- Assist
with month-end financial closings and provide complete documentation
support for internal and external audits.
2. Budgeting, Monitoring & Project Tracking
- Track
project-wise expenditures across community development (CDC/CSR), health,
hospital, and education initiatives.
- Prepare
comprehensive Budget vs. Actual variance analyses and monitor
operational budgets.
- Perform
cost-benefit analyses, including cost per beneficiary and financial impact
assessments for key social projects.
- Track
program contributions, donor commitments, and outstanding balances with
rigorous follow-up.
3. Procurement & Operational Support
- Assist
procurement processes through commercial quotation comparisons, budget
verification, and vendor reconciliations.
- Handle
petty cash disbursements and on-ground procurement payments securely and
in compliance with established policies.
- Regularly
interface with internal departments, external vendors, and partner
organizations to gather required operational data and documentation.
4. Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare
periodic management reports, financial schedules, and ROPE/MIS dashboards.
- Provide
actionable financial analysis to management to highlight cost variances
and operational bottlenecks.
Key Deliverables
- Accuracy
& Timeliness: Error-free ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations,
and month-end closings.
- Budget
Integrity: Regular delivery of Budget vs. Actual comparisons and
project expenditure schedules.
- Control
& Documentation: Fully compliant payment documentation, invoice
verification, and audit-ready archives.
- Reporting:
Punctual submission of management packs, variance reviews, and MIS
reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com / M.Com) or
Intermediate CA (CA Inter).
- Experience:
3–7 years of relevant experience in core accounting, reporting, and ledger
management. Prior experience in Foundations, NGOs, or CSR environments is
preferred.
- Regional
Experience: Prior work experience in the DRC or Sub-Saharan Africa is
an advantage.
- Software
Proficiency:
- Advanced
proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime.
- Strong
working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot
tables, financial modeling).
- Languages:
- Fluency
in English and French is required.
- Knowledge
of Swahili is an added advantage.

coordination, negotiation, and follow-up capabilities across
multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability
