• This is a senior leadership role to spearhead business development across Africa in Solar PV, Drilling, and Hybrid Energy projects. The role requires proven experience in closing multi-million USD deals, client relationship management, tendering, and building high-performing teams.
• Strong background in Solar EPC, Drilling, and Hybrid Energy projects, with proven ability to manage Business Development, tendering, techno commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Deep understanding of large scale project lifecycles, including feasibility, procurement, execution, and client delivery in Africa and emerging markets.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Sales:

Assist in the preparation of all pre-approved tender submissions [administrative, financial and follow up with technical teams] and contract documents in order to submit in a timely manner.

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through market analysis, networking, business development, referrals, and cold calling.

Conduct sales presentations and product/solution demonstrations to potential customers.

Identify and analyze customer needs and provide suitable off-grid solar and drilling solutions respectively [VS1].

Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations and contracts on award of tenders/purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up.

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and BD targets and prepare daily/weekly reports with KPIs as well as qualitative assessments.

Job In Brief: We are looking for experienced and skilled RC (Reverse Circulation) Drilling Machine Operators to work at the highest possible standard, executing the work plans. Moving, positioning and setting up and operating of the drill, and all associated equipment at each drill site. Responsible to complete daily reports and trackers and record all consumables used during a shift as well as an ongoing inventory of all gear involved in the Drill program. Providing assistance to the Drill Sample Technician with moving, positioning and setup of the Sampling equipment. Do daily checks on all equipment that they have the proper and correct safety guards or ‘whip checks’ with particular attention to the compressor hoses and couplings. Ensuring all drill equipment, compressors/boosters and tools are kept clean, dust free and in good working order. Ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn correctly by all members of the drill crew and any other personal that are on the drill site. Reading and understanding the Drill Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Working Conditions: The physical environment requires employees to work outside in the heat or cold, wet or humid or dry, and in remote or isolated camp conditions. This means one would need to be physically fit and strong and also to be mechanically orientated will often also work in remote locations where one can be exposed to extreme weather conditions including dust and being exposed to loud noises.

Essential Functions

 

Safely operates drill in accordance with standard operating procedures and supervisor instruction to achieve production goals.

Prepares and maintains drilling paperwork, including pre-shift inspections, drill reports, inventory sheets, and sample tags.

Perform and document pre-shift inspections and monitors gauges and equipment frequently.

Visually inspects work areas for potential hazards and works to correct them or report any problems to supervisor immediately.

Maintains accurate log of all bits, hammers, breakdowns, maps, and drill patterns.

Collect drill-hole samples using proper sampling techniques for laboratory analysis as needed.
