We seek a proven Senior Mall Manager to be the single, hands-on leader for our premier shopping centre in Central Africa. This vital role requires a unique dual skillset: Operational/Technical Mastery and Commercial/Tenant Leadership.
This is NOT a general retail role; operational and technical competence in a mall environment is essential.

Core Responsibilities
1. Operational & Technical Command (Crucial Focus)
Building Systems Authority: Oversee all critical systems (HVAC, electrical, safety, etc.). Must have a strong technical background to understand, manage, and troubleshoot complex building operations.
Maintenance: Develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance plans. Manage CapEx, budgets, contractors, and all site maintenance teams.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure rigorous safety protocols and full legal compliance for all common areas and building systems.

2. Commercial & Stakeholder Leadership
Tenant Relations: Act as the primary liaison, managing all tenant requirements, renewals, and retention strategies.
Leasing & Operations: Coordinate with the leasing team on fit-outs, ensuring adherence to standards.
Coordination: Manage on-site teams and coordinate minor marketing/events (not a top priority).

Essential Profile
Minimum 10 years in direct Shopping Mall Management.
Fluent French is a non-negotiable requirement.
Proven ability to manage both the technical upkeep and the commercial success of a large retail property.

You will play a crucial role in creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces that enhance the overall project aesthetic and contribute to a healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, and project managers to develop and implement comprehensive gardening plans for each project.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, microclimates, and existing vegetation.
• Select appropriate plant species considering factors like climate, soil conditions, aesthetic appeal, and maintenance requirements.
• Develop and implement irrigation plans and ensure proper drainage systems are in place.
• Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of plants, trees, shrubs, and other horticultural elements.
• Manage budgets and timelines for all horticultural projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Train and supervise a team of horticulturists and gardeners.
• Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable horticultural practices.
• Prepare cost estimates for plant materials, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of horticultural installations and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of Proven experience in managing gardening projects on construction sites preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plant science, soil science, and irrigation systems.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
