Education: CII certified
University/Master’s Degree
Experience: A minimum experience of 8-10 years in a
similar role at a manufacturing, mining corporate houses and has experience in
handling regulatory bodies.
Prior experience in Corporate – Insurance department
JOB PURPOSE
Primary role: The Officer – Insurance is responsible for
providing an independent and objective assessment of the effectiveness and
efficiency of the Company’s risk assessment and working with the Insurance
providers to control.
In addition, the Officer will support the company to analyze
all the areas of risk and protect the interest of the company.

Liaisoning:

Work as a liaison between the regularity
insurance entities and the company.
·
Review all relevant loss and regulation
applicable to the company and ensure compliance.
·
Ensure the business activities are conducted in
conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and
procedures.
·
Ensure all regulatory permissions are updated
and complied, whichever is required for the business needs.
·
Achieve the statutory and compliance
requirements
Internal Regulations:
·
Ensure the staff abides by the company policy
and procedure and regulatory laws.
·
Monitor, manage an establish procedures to be
followed during internal and external insurance conflicts.
·
Monitor the latest regulations for any change
and incorporate those changes with the company’s policy and procedures.
·
Ensure internal regulation are communicated and
followed
Communication:
·
Coordinate and conduct enquiries and
investigation which is deemed to be necessary related to insurance claims.
·
Check the reliability of the process by taking
samples on a regular basis to ensure accuracy (in terms of holding and cash).
·
Ensure the integrity and reliability of
financials provided to the insurance regulators.
·
Maintain an open communication with the
management.
·
All communication with the internal and external
parties should be effective and time bound
Risk Management:
·
Evaluate business activities to assess potent
risk.
·
Contribute to the regular awareness campaign as
per the group policy.
·
Perform compliance oversight, establishing and
maintaining reports to relevant actions.
·
Risk assessment with the line of Business
Operations
Reporting:
·
Managing overall operations in an insurance
setting.
·
Creating and implementing policies that allow
the insurance process to function as a cohesive unit.
·
Reviewing company performance to identify areas
where individual employees and entire departments can improve their efficiency.
·
Managing all corporate / commercia insurance
process.
·
Connecting specifically with insurance companies
to ensure we have the best services.
·
Identifying and minimizing threats as part of
ongoing risk management responsibilities.
·
Managing collected data and creating
user-friendly reports that can help executives identify company progress,
regression, and any fluctuations in output
·
Continually reviewing insurance policies
·
Managing any claims investigations.
·
Controlling company insurance finances to
maintain correct budget allocation to all departments
·
Ensure quality and timely reports
