Job Description

·         *Candidate must have experience from Mining and Mineral Processing Company*

·         *Plan, prepare, direct and ensure effective implementation of sound financial, commercial, accounting/Audit, policies, practices & strategies in line with corporate plans*

·         *Act as an enterprise wide key decision support assisting the top management in formulating and implementing long term and short term strategies*

·         *Participate and initiate plans for enhancing financial strength & overall growth of the business.
Overall responsible for supervising, managing and controlling finance and accounts department of the Company*

Role Purpose

The Officer – QHSE is a critical role created to strengthen the organization’s commitment to statutory compliance, food safety, and environmental stewardship. You will be responsible for establishing robust safety protocols, reducing workplace incidents, and embedding a "Safety-First" culture across both plant and office operations to support our growing FMCG/Manufacturing footprint.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Statutory Management

• Ensure 100% compliance with all local labor, factory, food safety, and environmental laws.

• Maintain and update all statutory registers, licenses, and QHSE records.

• Develop and implement environmental standards in line with Group policies.

• Coordinate with government officials and external regulatory bodies as required.

Safety Operations & Risk Mitigation

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and comprehensive risk assessments.

• Identify workplace hazards, investigate near-misses/incidents, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.

• Monitor PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage and enforce safety discipline on-site.

• Manage emergency preparedness plans, including mock drills and safety campaigns.

Training & Systems Development

• Industry Context: Deep understanding of safety practices within the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Food Safety Management.

• Certification: Diploma in Industrial Safety is highly preferred.

• Experience: 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a similar-sized organization.

• Age: Ideally between 28 and 35 years.

• Languages: Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory (Local languages like Bemba are an advantage).

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver corporate training programs on 50+ AI tools, Microsoft AI tools, and Microsoft Copilot for business users.

​

Conduct interactive training on MS Office, Advanced Excel, Python, Power BI, data analysis, and digital marketing concepts.

​

Create structured training content, including presentations, exercises, assessments, and real‑time case studies tailored to Central Africa operations.

​

Assess participants’ skill levels, track progress, and provide feedback and additional support where needed.

​

Stay updated on the latest AI and digital trends and continuously improve the training curriculum.

Required skills and experience
