Reporting to: Process Manager / Plant Head
Position Objective
The Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing
day-to-day hydrometallurgical plant operations, ensuring production targets are
met through rigorous process monitoring, troubleshooting, and resource
planning. The role focuses on optimizing metal recovery, maintaining high
safety standards, and ensuring seamless coordination between maintenance and
production teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations & Production Planning
- Manage
day-to-day plant operations to ensure continuous and efficient
processing.
- Develop
and execute daily and monthly production plans to meet
organizational targets.
- Oversee
Raw Material (RM) planning and inventory management to prevent
operational downtime.
- Coordinate
with the maintenance department for routine and preventive maintenance
planning to ensure maximum equipment availability.
2. Process Monitoring & Quality Control
- Continuous
monitoring of process parameters to ensure adherence to established
technical standards.
- Implement
strategies for metal accounting and identify opportunities for recovery
enhancement.
- Maintain
strict Quality Control (QC) protocols to ensure final product
specifications meet customer and internal standards.
- Utilize
data-driven approaches for data collection, verification, and technical
report generation.
3. Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Rapidly
identify and resolve process bottlenecks and technical "hitch"
points through effective troubleshooting.
- Apply
decision-making skills to handle emergency plant upsets and ensure
smooth operational flow.
- Analyze
operational data to suggest process improvements for cost reduction and
efficiency.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Promote
and maintain a Safe Work Environment by enforcing industrial safety
protocols and PPE usage.
- Identify
potential occupational hazards and implement corrective actions
immediately.
- Ensure
all processes comply with environmental and metallurgical safety
regulations.
