Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Financial Accounting & Controls: Establish accurate and timely accounting records. Strengthen cash and expense controls, including fuel, maintenance, trip expenses, and petty cash.

• Reconciliations & Receivables: Reconcile bank, cash, customer, supplier, and ledger accounts. Implement regular receivables and payables monitoring to improve cash-flow and collection/supplier-payment planning.

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts. Produce truck-wise and trip-wise profitability and cost reporting. Deliver reliable financial forecasts and fleet cost analysis to support management in making informed commercial decisions.

• Statutory & Tax Compliance: Ensure complete, accurate, and timely statutory and tax compliance. Ensure all financial records remain audit-ready.

• System & Process Management: Review and maintain the chart of accounts and accounting system (Tally ERP). Resolve accounting errors, unreconciled balances, and control weaknesses.

Required Expertise & Competencies

• Experience: Proven experience in fleet, logistics, transport, or trucking operations accounting.

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow forecasting. Advanced proficiency in Tally ERP (or similar ERP systems), Microsoft Excel, and management reporting. Familiarity with online bank payments.

• Key Accounting Competencies: Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank/customer/supplier reconciliations, cost accounting, profitability analysis, and payroll/petty-cash administration.
