This role is NOT for passive researchers — we are looking for market movers, alpha generators, and trading-focused analysts.

6+ years of hardcore experience in commodity hedge funds, prop trading desks, or trading-driven institutions
Deep expertise across Non-Ferrous Metals, Precious Metals & Crude Oil
Proven exposure to commodity hedging strategies, derivatives, futures & options
Strong understanding of LME, COMEX, SHFE, ICE and global commodity exchanges
Experience supporting or directly influencing trading & risk decisions
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced trading environments

Serve as Principal Finance Business Partner for Mining & Processing ops. Ensure Unit Costs (C1/C3) accuracy, SAP Master Data integrity, and CAPEX lifecycle tracking. Challenge ops on efficiency using data insights.[ from prior context]

Key Responsibilities:
A. Mining ("Pit"): Track Explosives KPIs (Cost/BCM, Powder Factor); analyze variances. Monitor fleet (utilization, fuel, tires, idling). Granular costs: Drilling, Blasting, Load/Haul, Dewatering.

Job Overview

We are hiring for a Deputy Manager – Process Design for a leading mining and mineral company based in Central Africa. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in process engineering and design activities for mineral processing plants, including expertise in process selection, equipment sizing, and inter-disciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop process designs and basic engineering deliverables for mineral processing plants.

• Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), design basis, and process descriptions.

• Perform mass and water balance calculations, equipment sizing, and selection.

• Provide process inputs for plant layout and CAPEX/OPEX estimation.

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for multidisciplinary integration.

• Interface with OEMs, licensors, and test-work agencies during design development.

• Support technical bid evaluations, feasibility studies, and commissioning activities.

• Develop and optimize processes involving crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, gravity and magnetic separation, thickening, filtration, and tailings handling.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of process engineering experience in the mineral processing industry.

• Exposure to basic engineering, feasibility, and DPR stage projects.

• Strong command over process calculations, flow sheet development, and equipment design.
