Are you a strategic navigator of the African mining landscape? We are looking for a heavyweight Business Development Leader to spearhead our expansion across the Copperbelt and beyond. This isn't just a corporate role—it’s a high-impact mission to identify high-value assets, secure concessions, and build the partnerships that will define our footprint in the DRC and Zambia.

Your Core Mission
1. Strategic Growth & Asset Acquisition
Hunt for Value: Identify and evaluate untapped mining opportunities, mineral assets, and brownfield/greenfield exploration projects.
Secure the Ground: Lead the end-to-end process for acquiring mining licenses, concessions, and mineral rights.
Market Intelligence: Map out resource availability and competitor movements to keep us two steps ahead.
2. Commercial Architecture
Seal the Deal: Lead high-stakes negotiations for joint ventures, supply agreements, and asset purchases.
Financial Rigor: Oversee investment proposals, feasibility studies, and financial modeling to ensure project viability.
3. Ecosystem & Government Relations
Diplomacy: Act as the primary liaison with Ministries of Mines, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
Compliance: Navigate the complex legal and environmental landscapes of DRC and Zambia to ensure seamless operations.
4. Project Orchestration
Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to transition projects from "handshake" to "operational."
The Ideal Profile
Educational Foundation: Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Mining. An MBA is highly preferred.
Regional Expertise: 12–18 years of experience, with a significant portion dedicated to the African mining sector (DRC/Zambia experience is a massive plus).
Deal-Maker Mindset: Proven track record in sourcing deals and managing mining concessions.
Resilience: Ability to thrive in complex regulatory environments and emerging market dynamics.
