Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for mechanical works (HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.).

• Commercial Management: Manage project finances, including tracking variations, preparing monthly progress billings, and evaluating subcontractor claims.

• Contract Administration: Review, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to minimize commercial risks.

• Cost Control: Monitor project expenses against the budget, conduct variance analysis, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.

• Material Take-off: Conduct detailed material take-offs from mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.

• Final Accounts: Prepare, negotiate, and settle final accounts with subcontractors and clients upon project completion.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical packages. (Experience in African countries or international projects is a plus).

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in MS Excel and QS/Estimation software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, or AutoCAD).
