Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives within our mining operations in Central Africa. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in mining safety management and possess internationally recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent. Additionally, French fluency is required to facilitate communication and compliance within a diverse working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across all mining operations.
Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards and maintain safety standards.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
Design and implement safety training programs, including emergency response protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety-first culture and drive EHS improvements.
Maintain comprehensive EHS records and reports to ensure regulatory alignment.
Liaise with government agencies, auditors, and certification bodies to uphold workplace safety standards.
Communicate safety policies effectively across a French-speaking workforce.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
10-15 years of experience in EHS management within the mining industry.
Certification in NEBOSH or other recognized mining safety programs.
Strong expertise in mining safety regulations, environmental impact assessment, and risk management.
Leadership skills to manage multicultural teams and ensure high safety standards.
Fluent in French (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
