Production Engineer - PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings) - Central Africa
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in Central Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical engineering background and a proven track record in the production of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB). You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate production runs and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Process Optimization and Efficiency:
- Analyze existing production processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all production processes comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Quality Control:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product quality.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with customer specifications.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and other departments to ensure timely material and equipment availability.
- Communicate effectively with production staff, management, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Prepare and present production reports and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in the production of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB).
- Strong understanding of PEB fabrication and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
