Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Sr. Manager / DGM of Civil Engineering to lead and manage civil construction activities for large-scale mining and mineral processing plant projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing industrial plant infrastructure, coordinating with EPC contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage end-to-end civil construction and engineering activities for complex mining and mineral processing plant projects.
Infrastructure Execution: Plan, direct, and execute the construction of RCC foundations, equipment foundations, buildings, structures, roads, drainage systems, retaining walls, and other critical plant infrastructure.
Equipment & Plant Coordination: Oversee and coordinate civil works specifically tailored for process plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screening equipment, material handling systems, stockyards, and utility areas.
Engineering Review: Meticulously review and validate engineering drawings, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), design documents, and proposed construction methodologies.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison to coordinate effectively with EPC contractors, external consultants, design teams, material vendors, and internal project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
Project Monitoring: Track and monitor project progress strictly against approved schedules, financial budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 15 to 20 years of proven hands-on experience in civil construction and project management, specifically within the mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial sectors.
Core Competencies: Deep expertise in structural design review, EPC coordination, site management, and rigorous budget/schedule tracking.
