Location: Central Africa 

Qualification: BE / B. Tech – Mechanical Engineering 

Job Duration: 06 months to 01 year (Depending on project requirement; it will be extended)

Experience: 08+ years 

 

• Candidate must have experience in - Chemical process industries, oil & gas or any other processing plant

• Prepare and submit L1 to L4 level schedule for the complete project

• Prepare Equipment List, BOQ for piping, steel structure 

• Prepare list of spares & consumables required for critical equipment 

• Prepare annual budget for repairs & maintenance of plant & equipment

• Prepare format for daily, weekly reports and timely submission of MIS 

• Establishing milestones for the total project and/or major portions of the project 

• Co-ordination with site team & other dept. for timely execution of project

• Identify the critical path of area 

• Co-ordination with procurement & logistics dept. and update the procurement status 

• Integration of engineering, procurement and construction schedules into the overall project schedule, and manage the schedule interface with internal department and Ensure delivery of material on time for the site fabrication /Site schedule. 

• Understanding project work scope, needs and deliverables, milestones, durations 

• Monitoring the courses of action concerned with the given projects and verifying whether the progressions are carried out as per Schedule 

• Monitor and update the project schedule with actual on weekly basis 

• Planning, Issue WBS, S-Curves and progress measurement and reporting

• Review the current status of project and prepare the project schedule.

• Weekly/Monthly reports generation including s-curves for Management review

• Software Knowledge: MS project and AutoCAD

·   Candidate must have experience from EPC / construction/infrastructure industries in Project Planning.
·   To ensure successful feasibility, planning, organizing, cost management, resourcing, design management, procurement & execution.
·   Experience on MS Projects / Primavera is a must.
·   Hold & Attend Customer Meetings and relationship-building with Project Heads.
·   Accountable for Project Planning and forecasting of material, machinery, and equipment.
·   Understand geographical and commercial boundaries and design project planning accordingly.
· Coordination with Customer & Project Manager regarding Project related issues & feedback.
·   Follow-up & coordination with different support offices for the execution of the Project.
·   Follow-up with Procurement Department & other HODs for Timely Supply of materials.
·   Administrative responsibility on the department level to maintain an uninterrupted workflow.
·   Plan Cost Effectiveness measurement & execute necessary cost-cutting activities.

Job description:

The job description in Dy. Manger includes activities & tasks essential for Equipment and component maintenance strategy selection & implementation, equipment maintenance cost monitoring & control and Spares planning to achieve Equipment availability & production targets, department budget preparation and to ensure safe working atmosphere among all.

Liaise with HEMM Suppliers to understand the requirement of Insurance & normal operating Spares

Study the consumption pattern of Spares for different categories of HEMM

Prepare Spares requirement for each Category of HEMM and co-ordinate with the Procurement department to ensure Spares availability

Interact with Maintenance & Operation Shift In-charges to get feedback on pending maintenance jobs with priorities and review Shift Logbooks & Maintenance records  with a view to understanding reasons for the breakdown

Prepare Checklist for monitoring Equipment healthiness and liase with Shop floor In-charges for  implementation

Monitor utilization of manpower to achieve optimum results.

Plan for daily, weekly & monthly Maintenance schedules & activities.

Prepare preventive maintenance checklist/schedule and ensure its implementation & maintain records.

Prepare Schedules for Condition monitoring  & ensure its implementation.

Prepare & implement a Lubrication plan.

Maintain Equipment history Card.

Arrange & ensure all drawings and documents /Specifications are available for Parts/Assemblies etc.

Monitor the Spares consumption and carry out root cause analysis for Items having abnormal consumption pattern

Continuously monitor the availability of Spares and raise the requirement of Spares from time to time

Study repetitive breakdowns and suggest improvements/modifications

Prepare SOPs & guidelines for major maintenance activities

Assist HOD in improving Equipment availability & reduction of maintenance cost budget preparation and raise Indents.
