About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary / Assistant Company Secretary to join our team in Dadar. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting corporate governance, maintaining statutory compliance, and managing vital legal documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational knowledge of corporate laws and excellent administrative capabilities to ensure our compliance frameworks remain audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Board & Committee Governance: Assist in organizing board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, drafting notices, and compiling accurate minutes.
Statutory Compliance: Maintain and update statutory registers, records, and all necessary compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Document & Filing Management: Manage corporate legal documents and implement robust, audit-ready physical and digital filing systems.
Onboarding & Regulatory Documentation: Efficiently handle Know Your Customer (KYC), FATCA/CRS documentation, and stakeholder onboarding processes.
Deadline Tracking: Proactively monitor compliance calendars to ensure all statutory deadlines and regulatory filings are met on time.
Audit & Due Diligence Support: Assist internal and external teams during audits, due diligence processes, and prepare internal compliance reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Qualified Company Secretary (CS) and a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in legal compliance or company secretarial roles.
Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act, FEMA regulations, and general corporate compliance processes.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modern documentation management tools.
Attention to Detail: High level of precision in drafting, tracking, and maintaining records while ensuring absolute confidentiality.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Organization: Strong time-management skills to balance multiple deadlines and compliance calendars.
