Job Description:

a) Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing

b) Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production

c) Process purchase orders to acquire goods

d) Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company

e) Attend meetings with the legal team, engineering team, vendors, and suppliers

f) Establish procurement strategies for acquisition, receiving and tracking of project materials that optimize quality, cost, and timely delivery criteria.

g) Work collaboratively with management and the Design team to coordinate supplier selection, credit and terms, track supplier performance standards, and conduct ongoing evaluation.

h) Prepare, maintain and review purchasing records, produce management reports, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, approve bills for payment,

i) Conduct research via the Internet, catalogues, trade publications, and trade shows to identify potential suppliers.

j) Create spreadsheets with vendor & product or service comparisons of prospective suppliers to support management decisions

k) Optimize the material and supplier portfolio – that is what materials should be bought in bulk and consumed as needed from inventory by projects, and which materials are best to acquire as needed for specific projects.

l) Prepare and review all of comparison for purchasing orders.

m) Coordinate with the warehouse minimum stock and maximum stock

n) Negotiation with the suppliers to reach for the best prices

o) Prepare the vendor list and update and approved it with execution section heads.

 

Education and experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, MBA or Construction, financial Management preferred with minimum 9 years of experience related to procurement of construction Material.

Planning and Monitoring

Tenders and Contracting

Preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contractors Coordination of work effort. Permission ensures that all the materials to be used and installed conform to the project relevant and approval of the client.

 

Checking Material Quality and storage

Check material quality Such as Cement, sand, aggregate, steel. In Concrete Quality such as Cube testing, Temperature of concrete, slump test, concrete vibrator. In BBS Schedule, the Checking Bar bending schedule was duly approved. Keep notice of Storage of material should be in proper Location, No moisture for the cement (Not more than 3 Months), Condition must be checked, Connectivity near to the construction site. Checklist various work-PCC, RCC, masonry, staging, Shuttering, grading, in the checklist format, and lastly approved from the client.

 

Prepare Report site activity and checking

Prepare daily progress report, monthly progress report in the excel sheet. Mention all RCC work and days left (14 Days), plaster, masonry (10 Days water curing), plaster, shuttering time. Regular Report on internal quality audits of the company quality system, procedures, and processes. Schedule of work-Time, Gradual speed of work, manpower, Follow up day to day site inspection.

 

Implements Daily Records

Interacts and manages all QA/QC on-site staff and operational issues on a daily basis. You have to implement the quality assurance policy defined by the project manager. Ensure that the project quality plan is implemented at all the stages of works up to hand over and commissioning. Conducting inspections of materials purchased from the suppliers. Proper implementation and compliance of the quality control system within the project sites.

 

Working Coordination

with the Project Managers to ensure that the quality plan and construction plan are aligned and coordinate with client-appointed quality inspection teams to resolve complex QA/QC issues. This is followed by 2 ground investigation based on the findings of the desk study and involves trial pitting and sampling to uncover any potential issues

The role of a geotechnical engineer is so important because he is responsible for evaluating the ground conditions of a site prior to build-out. Ground conditions can vary greatly even on a small site, and with added challenges such as climate change impacting the environment with droughts and floods, the role of a geotechnical engineer is becoming even more significant. They must determine whether the ground can withstand the added pressures or changes brought by construction, which can ultimately avoid costly issues further into the project. ROLES:-

Developing a strategic investigation plan for the site

Performing the geotechnical investigation studies on field tests, Laboratory tests, analysis, and design as per the plan (DCP, SPT, CBR, Relative density, Triaxial, Proctor compaction test, Augur Test, Atterberg limits, Plastic Limit, specific gravity of any

substance, Density, Moisture content, penetration test, consolidation test, permeability, core cutting, All types of Rock tests, chemical tests, concrete raw material tests, Concrete design mix (in house & Third part Projects).

·                     Collecting samples such as rock, sand, and similar substances from the site.

·                     Analyzing the ground stress which includes capacity and stress levels.

·                       Executing tests on the samples and noting down the contamination values.

·                       Designing the projects based on the investigation performed.

·                       Creating 2D and 3D models using computer applications.

·                     Taking care of geological hazards while planning the in house & third party project.
