Senior Site Finishing Manager
Location: Central Africa
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Finishing Manager to take full ownership of the internal and finishing stages of major construction projects, including high-rise residential and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for ensuring all units are completed to the highest quality standards, meeting strict client specifications and readiness for handover.
## Key Responsibilities
Trade Coordination: Supervise and coordinate multiple finishing trades, including joinery, painting, tiling, plastering, and M&E fit-out.
Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections and implement quality control procedures to ensure all work meets design intent and industry standards.
Snagging & Handover: Manage the full snagging and de-snagging process, identifying defects early and working with contractors to resolve them before final client sign-off.
Programme Management: Oversee the finishing schedule from shell and core through to completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
Health & Safety: Enforce strict H&S protocols on-site, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary link between project management, subcontractors, architects, and clients to provide regular progress updates and resolve site challenges.
## Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Proven seniority, typically requiring 5–10+ years of experience in finishing roles with a main contractor or large-scale developer.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of finishing processes, sequencing, building regulations, and high-end interior specifications.
Leadership: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate diverse trade teams and subcontractors.
Education: A degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Software Proficiency: Experience using project management and snagging tools (e.g., Procore, FieldView) and MS Office.
