Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our solar energy operations in Central Africa. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and leadership to ensure successful project execution, operational efficiency, and alignment with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage day-to-day solar project operations
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals
- Project Oversight: Oversee solar project execution from start to finish
- Financial Management: Manage operational budget and track expenditures
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local authorities
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and implement innovative solutions
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA advantageous)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in solar energy operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning abilities
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of solar technologies, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements in Africa
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in French required, proficiency in English a plus
