HEMM MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Nigeria

Education & Skills:

BE. Mechanical

Good oral and written proficiency in English.

Computer literacy with good IT skills.

Experience: 10 years + of working with HEMM preferably Caterpillar equipment in African environment

Age: 35 years +

Scope: Heavy equipment includes CAT 740B Articulated dump truck, 374 Excavator, D8R dozer, 140K grader, 966H Front end Loader.

Job Specific Comments

·         Plans, organizes and supervises the maintenance operations with his team

·         Coordinates, assigns, directs, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly schedules

·         Establishes job priorities and time frames for Maintenance Staff

·         Some experience of ET SIS software preferred

·         Responsible for installation or repair of Electrical / Mechanical systems –

·         Monitors completion of job assignments through frequent field observation and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and instruction and revises instructions and time frames as necessary.

·         Responsible for training employees on equipment, task procedures, work standards and proper safety procedures.

·         Serves as safety representative, including coordination of safety training needs, assisting with safety audits, facilitating compliance with standards and maintaining related safety records.

·         Schedules and Supervises maintenance activities, including work performed by contractors or subcontractors within the system.

·         Responds professionally to requests for information raised by Sr. Mgmt team.

·         Creates and develops documents related to Performance Metrics.

·         Supervises minor maintenance and servicing of parking system equipment and vehicles

·         Ability to operate light and heavy machinery, including loaders, dump trucks, Exec for Performance evaluation.

·         Determines need for outside contractors to be involved in Critical works

·         Maintains appropriate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment installations, structural repairs and work orders.

·         Manages maintenance budget including monitoring inventory and expenses

·         Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned.
