Roles and Responsibilities:

Reports to Project Manager/Project Head

Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to during the Project Execution.

Ensuring that Quality policies and legislation are adhered to during the Project Execution.

Ability to manage construction projects independently (Industrial Projects, Residential/Commercial Projects)

Oversee the Construction Works from beginning to Completion

Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.

Ability to Prepare Estimation (BOQ), Budget for the execution of Projects.

Supervising Expat/National staff involved in the Construction activities.

Optimize utilization of Project Resources.

Ensuring project meet agreed specifications, Scope, budgets, and timeline

Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, and the overall project manager

Provide technical advice and solving problems on-site

Preparing site reports like Daily Progress Report, Weekly Progress Report, maintain Safety/Quality Checklist, Consumption reports, periodical reconciliation Statements, etc.,

Ability to work as a Team with other departmental staff and sub-ordinates for maintaining a smooth environment in and out of the project.

Knowledge, Skills Minimum Experience.

Minimum 4-6 years experience in maintenance as a line boring technician

Able to read and interpreted the technical drawing

Able to read a micrometer.

Able to properly center the portable boring machine

Able to perform line boring jobs with hydraulic and electrical machines

Must be able to convert different measurements, read a tape measure and follow a shop drawing

English, French, and Swahili languages one of them is required

·         Establish/Enhance Material/Store Management system.

·         Monitor/Review unloading procedure.

·         Monitor/Review Process of receipt and storage of material.

·         Monitor/Review Inspection/Analysis Process of received material/chemical/fuel.

·         Monitor/ Review Material issue process.

·         Planning for utilization of storage space, segregation of material.

·         Inventory control/optimization ( by establishing category -Insurance/Critical/Non-Critical/consumables)

·         Establish Min/max stock level fast-moving & general items along with end-user.

·         Maintain min/critical stock for reagents/chemicals.

·         Experience/Understanding of ERP system.

Must be well conversant with O&M of ACB, VCB, Transformers, Battery bank & Battery Charger, Centralized UPS and Fire Hydrant Systems

Must have knowledge of 11KV Cable Termination apart from Glanding and Termination of all types of LT Cables.
