Civil Engineer – Kenya (Cement Plant Construction)

candidate must
have Experience for Cement Plant Construction.
To assist in
the day-to-day activities of Project/ construction site administration, with
focus on quality Services with best productivity and in meeting of Department
and Management expectations.
Core
Activities / Tasks (Principal Accountabilities) / Key Responsibilities
Understand the user needs, prepare proposals, scope documents,
and estimates and take approval from the Management and Should be able to lead
the team and ensure to complete the assigned tasks as per time lines.
Float tenders, receive quotations, technical and price
evaluation, negotiate the project costing.
Ensure to Lead the Manpower and Contractors to get the timely
job done as per the standards set by Mgmt.
Monitor/Co-ordinate/ execute/inspect/commission internal
existing projects (If any).
Ensure adherence to safety norms by employees.
Ensure to have Project related completed documentation.
Prepare Periodical MIS reports for ongoing projects and its
progress and expenses and submission to Mgmt to review and further guidance /
Advice.
Check and process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Manage processes and documentation as per IMS requirements / ISO
Standards.
Managing
of Site Manpower, Contractors with adequate Safety standards and should be able
to liaise with all the stake holders including Statutory Authorities.
Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from
time to time (Ad-hoc) .
Other
features of the job:
Should flexible for Shift duties and willingness to local travel
as per working conditions.
Civil Projects, Civil Maintenance, Project Management, IMS
/Safety, Civil / Project Management.
Willing to work as per time lines and Should be meticulous in
his work.
Knowledge
and skills / Competency Requirement:
Analytical Thinking; Decision Making; Achievement / Result
Orientation; Interpersonal Relationship.
Planning, Organizing & Executing Good planning, coordination,
interpersonal & communication skills.
Good knowledge on Computer Skills like Microsoft software
packages (MS Word/Excel/Power Point) and Civil Engg related Engineering Drafts
Software.
Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience
in commercial Projects Constructions.
Local Language Literate will be given preference.
