LMV/HMV Mechanic
Job Summary:
The LMV/HMV Mechanic is responsible for maintaining,
repairing, and overhauling light and heavy motor vehicles to ensure optimal
performance, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks,
including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
·
Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues,
including engine, transmission, brake, and
·
suspension problems.
·
Overhauls: Overhaul engines, transmissions, and
other major components as needed.
·
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex mechanical
issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
·
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of
vehicles to identify potential issues.
·
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of
maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
·
Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols
and regulations, maintaining a safe working
·
environment.
·
Spare planning for preventive maintenance and
critical items keep on site.
·
Take care of high value items & tools and
send old parts to HO.
·
Share daily reports, parts request, consumption
with HOD /manager & consul person.
Requirements:
·
Education: Post-secondary education in
automotive repair or a related field.
·
Experience: 4+ years of experience as an LMV/HMV
mechanic.
·
Certifications: Valid certifications, such as
ASE or IMI, may be required.
·
Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical
systems, including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension systems.
·
Soft Skills: Strong communication,
problem-solving, and time management skills.
Working Conditions:
·
Work Environment: Automotive repair shops,
garages & site.
·
Physical Demands: Frequent exposure to noise,
dust, and hazardous materials.
·
Shift Work: Rotating shifts, including evenings,
weekends, and holidays.
