Job Description:
Assists the company Management of OUR CLIENT’S to minimise
the loss in operations time. Loss of materials & Equipment as well as loss
of manhours and achieving the company goals with sound client satisfaction.
Essential Duties:
·
Establish the policy & ensure that the
morning meeting (prayer, toolbox talks and work review) prior to each Day &
Night shift is in place and practised.
·
Ensure that HSE procedures are followed, if a
procedure does not exist or is not to hand to write up new procedures, or
ensure crews perform a “take-5” risk assessment.
·
Establish the policy & ensure all the crew
members are free from the influence of alcohol & drugs, Mentally &
Physically fit to work and using appropriate PPE. If someone fails, the same
take the administrative action on-site and report to HRM as well as Management.
·
Establish and ensure a site auditing system on a
weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and yearly Basis. The Audit report must be recorded
and presented to Management for further use and recordkeeping.
·
Ensure and verify the Precheck of every vehicle,
equipment & Rig must be done prior to every shift on a weekly basis.
·
Ensure & verify the Uses Vs consumption of
the Vehicles, Equipment and Rigs.
·
Establish and ensure Standard Operating
Procedures for all drilling-related activities are in place and followed by
every employee.
·
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
·
Observe performance and encourage improvement
where necessary.
·
Ensuring that all the drilling Issues and
reports are properly communicated to Management, i.e., Drilling reports,
Drilling statics, Consumption reports, (HSD, Oils, Spares, tools etc.).
·
Assist the Management in Interviewing,
selecting, training, supervising, counselling, and disciplining drilling staff.
·
Ensure all daily and monthly reports are
detailed and submitted in a timely matter to the client and Company management.
Supportive Functions
·
In addition to the performance of the essential
functions, this position is also required to perform a combination of the
following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each
function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements
of the OUR CLIENT’S.
·
Ensure PMS of equipment. Using proper standard
operating procedures to report and fix these issues.
·
Ensure the detailed job description and
consumption on such PMS or Breakdown has been recorded and submitted to
management.
·
Conduct competitive research and report trends
and recommendations.
·
Attend mandatory meetings including divisional
meetings, staff meetings, etc.
·
Participate in company Management meetings on
weekends.
·
Utilize traditional software programs such as
Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express.
·
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
·
Complete other duties as assigned by the
Management.
·
Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics
which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
·
Regular attendance in conformance with the
standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the
successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance
will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of
employment.
·
Maintain and improve client relations at all
times, as well as listen out to new developments at the site in terms of
potential business for OUR CLIENT’S, and communicate these to management.
·
Upon employment, all employees are required to
fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of
OUR CLIENT’S. Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to
disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
