Job Description:

·         This position reports directly to the Head Production. This position also works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service for optimized customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

·         Direct and manage activities of the plant’s manufacturing operations which include, but not limited to; Turning, Milling, Grinding, Heat Treat, Assembly, Shipping, etc. Deliver productivity through process simplification and modernization activities. Lead, coach and support manufacturing supervisors as needed to ensure that plant metrics are being met, production problems are being addressed, and the performance of production employees are being effectively managed and supported. Meet production requirements relative to established or changing demand levels. Adhere to plant environmental, safety and health guidelines.

·         Meet customer service, quality and on-time delivery goals. Administer company policies and procedures. Interface with product design teams to enhance sales growth. Identify lean improvements and cost reduction projects and pursue continuous improvement through employee involvement using lean manufacturing techniques. Optimize inventory levels while driving inventory down and service up. Adhere to specific business unit budget. Develop and implement business unit capital projects to meet plant and asset objectives. Develop employees by conducting performance reviews, providing coaching, counseling, and effective training. Ability to understand product designs and specifications.

·         Candidates must also have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and experience working across cross-functional teams. Candidates with prior precision metalworking or machining industry experience are preferred.

·         Incumbent will be responsible for overall SCM function which includes – Stores, Purchase, Logistics, Inventory Management.  Ensuring the timely availability of the materials, consumables, import items and overall distribution planning. Meet internal customer service, quality and on-time delivery. Administer company policies and procedures. Interface with product design teams to ensure the required items

·         Optimize inventory levels while driving inventory down and service up. Adhere to specific business unit budget. Develop and implement business unit capital projects to meet plant and asset objectives. Develop employees by conducting performance reviews, providing coaching, counselling, and effective training. Blast Hole Driller - Central Africa

Blast Hole Driller

Brief Job Description:

·         To drive and operate mobile drilling machines such as tracked or truck mounted DTH drilling machines to bore holes in open pit mines or quarries. He will be also responsible for drilling blast holes in rock at road or other construction sites and drilling holes for building foundations or pilings or mine sites. He shall  be will be responsible for creating blast holes in open pit mines and quarries for various functions including the construction of building foundations. Ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn correctly by all members of the drill crew and any other personal that are on the drill site. Reading and understanding the Drill Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and prepare Daily Progress Report (DPR).

Working Conditions:

·         To be able to drive or operate track or truck-mounted DTH drilling equipment, one would also need to be able to make accurate measurements, it would be important to be able to read blueprints for drill patterns and tests, and to be able to follow written codes and regulations. Because of the nature of the job one would need to be physically able to drill, do routine maintenance and manage crew. This means one would need to be physically fit and strong and also to be mechanically orientated will often also work in remote locations where one can be exposed to extreme weather conditions including dust and being exposed to loud noises.

Qualification:

·         Person would require high school diploma, experience on different rigs which does blast holes for mines and quarry. Driller would need a minimum experience of 5 years for this works.

Proven technical skills in exploration and water well drilling are required to assume leadership in the identification and evaluation of drilling performance and grab more opportunities. Manage the company’s drilling exploration activities, ensure all drilling equipment’s and utility / support vehicles are always in good condition. Develop new business through identification, investigation, negotiation and acquisition of exploration opportunities. Develop and manage annual projections and budgets. Weekly, monthly reporting to the Business head regarding progress and results. Directing and monitoring drilling work performed by drillers. Ensuring Company HSE policies are adhered to at all times.
