Procurement Manager
Location: South Africa
Responsibilities
Timely response to RFQs received from clients
Preparation of evaluation sheet for offers from suppliers
and submission to client Timely submission of order status report to client
Develop, lead, and implement business Cost reduction
strategies through Sourcing to improve our Cost position without sacrificing
quality
Evaluate, Coordinate, and support sourcing opportunities in
South Africa and import from oversea Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines
with vendors and suppliers
Challenge existing suppliers to recommend more Cost-effective and/or more reliable products that will improve our competitive
position. Assist in the evaluation and Coordination of these recommendations
Lead new vendor development, initial KYC and onboarding
Ensure quality control upon receipt of material or at
supplier location as per operational needs Approving purchase orders and
organizing and Confirming delivery of goods and services Building and maintaining
long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field:
Mechanical Engineering preferred Minimum 5 years experience in supplier quality
or supplier development
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team environment Ability to execute
tasks independently
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings,
specifications, and regulations
Willingness to travel 25-50%, both domestically and
internationally Proven experience managing supply chain operations Management
and leadership skills
