STRUCTURAL WELDING FOREMAN
Duties Summary/Responsibilities:
Oversee assigned day shift fabrication employees and their
assigned duties
Coordination and monitoring of all work activities,
fabrication progress and resources to meet production schedules
Ensure all work is done within ADF-established quality
standards, safety protocol, and job specifications
Conduct regular inspections of the work (practices/methods)
to check for any deviations from ADF-established quality standards
Establish open lines of communication across organizational
departments to ensure knowledge of all ongoing project expectations
Provide new-employee orientations and inform, train and
promote safe work methods and environment
Investigates all incidents which occurred in your section
and complete appropriate reports
Coordinate with HR Department regarding employee appraisals,
discipline, and annual performance reviews
Responsible for time keeping of group
Completion of all work-related reports and documentation
Responsible for ensuring that safety rules and regulations
are respected
Any other related duties, as required and/or special
projects as needed
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge in AWS D1.1 welding, metallurgy and steel
fabrication
Prior management or supervisory experience in the structural
steel industry, or 8-10 years of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities
Effectively plan, organize and prioritize work duties in a
fast paced environment
Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting structural
blueprints
Knowledge of codes of standards for AISC, AWS, and CWB
Ability to weld in both FCAW and MCAW processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Promotes a zero loss mindset culture and effective asset
utilization
