Motor & Submersible Pump Rewinding & Repair Technician up to 330 KW (Transformer Rewinding & repairing is an added advantage)

Reports to: Maintenance Manager / Engineer

 

Department: Motor Rewinding Shop

 

Job purpose:

Rewinding, Repairing and testing of 1 phase & 3 Phase all type of electrical motors, Submersible pumps (Oil & water), Generator Stators, Armatures or Rotors up to 300kw independently. 9 (Transformer rewinding & Repairing is an added advantage)

 

Key Accountabilities and Work Outputs:

Accountable to perform rewinding & repairing of motors & submersible pumps as per schedule.

Inspects cores for defects and aligns laminations

Files burrs from core slots.

Lines slots with sheet insulations and inserts coils info slots.

Tests windings for motor-housing clearance, grounds, and short circuits, insulation test, and resistance bridge, no load test and many more.

Winds new coils on armatures, stators or rotors of used motors and generators.

Assign identification number to motor which are coming for repair.

Prepare necessary papers like test report, consumable report, spare parts, stock report of winding wires, bearings, fan cover, fans, insulation papers, sleeves, varnish, gate pass etc.

Maintain the spares part stock required for performing the duty.

Able to repair all type of power tools such as Angle & straight Grinders, Cutters, Drill Machines, Power Hexo Machine, Vibrater, Hammer tool, Polishers etc.

Able to repair domestic apparatus such as pedestal fan, mixture, grinder machines, celling fans, overs etc.

Job description:

Researching the EV and electric battery market (particularly the domestic market in India) and establishing potential longterm relationships with future clients + establishing the stages required to begin sales

Pilot plant should already be running with sampling processes/QC completed with clients and commercial agreements in place. Full-scale production should be close to commissioning.

Developing and negotiating profitable contracts with clients. Participating in the techno-commercial development of the project, monitoring costs, ensuring clear financial modelling and execution.

Develop an outlook for the Indian electric battery + EV market, including timelines of clients and their input requirements (i.e. cobalt sulphate, precursor, battery pack, final battery, or other). Develop clear outlook on the type of battery (li-ion, NMC, etc) which is likely to have the highest demand and the top potential clients.

Contact clients and begin forming a preliminary relationship and understanding of collaboration/contract. Through the marketing knowledge, work to solidify a business plan for Infinite Elements and provide focus on the type of production required focusing on the Indian market outlook, but also considering export potential. Compare and understand the export cost/pricing compared to Chinese and other East Asian competitors.

Begin development of testing lab and start establishing potential clients for those services.
