Chemist – Production (Cosmetics)
Experience : 5+ years
Location: - Dar-E-Salaam, Tanzania.
Job Description:
· Responsible for developing, identifying, and modifying new and existing formulations and technologies for improved performance and cost reduction
· Prepare samples for testing, such as stability, efficacy and safety
· Prepare specifications for raw materials and formulations
· Responsible for scale-up, and production
· Develop and perform all testing requirements on new formulas and packages
· Communicate development challenges to management on a timely basis while showing creativity and resourcefulness to offer alternative solutions
· Ensures that assigned projects are executed in a manner, which is compliant with all regulatory guidelines
· Responsible for patent and license applications, whilst maintaining confidentiality
· Follows and supports current Good Manufacturing Practices and current Good Laboratory Practices
· Responsible for manufacturing and production management, including planning, quality and supply chain
· Create new and improved processes, protocols, techniques and system to support the Company’s goals
· Responsible for direct labor planning, production planning and production plan execution to achieve maximum efficiency while producing quality products resulting in no rejects or rework;
· Support the manufacturing supervisors on meeting production & material requirements;
· Support the technical team;
· Ensure scheduling and forecasting is completed to meet customer and revenue commitments;
· Responsible for maximizing manufacturing efficiencies consistent with approved quality specifications by developing programs for continuous improvement.
