Head Finance & Accounts (Central Africa)
Location: Central Africa
Job Purpose:
Plan, prepare, direct and ensure effective implementation of
sound financial, commercial, accounting/Audit, policies, practices &
strategies in line with corporate plans.
Act as an enterprise wide key decision support assisting the
top management in formulating and implementing long term and short term
strategies.
Participate and initiate plans for enhancing financial
strength & overall growth of the business.
Overall responsible for supervising, managing and
controlling finance and accounts department of the Company
Exposure of Project finance minimum USD 150 Million project
Responsibilities
Managing efficiently the cost structure and optimizing costs
at all times
Preparation and timely submission of Management Information
System (MIS), review and improve MIS including consolidated financials.
Preparation of Business forecasting, budgeting and rolling
plans, effectiveness and monitoring process
Responsible for Accounting systems, Treasury management and
cash flow planning
Determining financial objectives, designing &
implementing systems, policies & procedures in consultation with top
management to facilitate internal financial control
Formulating business plans / strategies for maximizing
profitability & revenue generation & realize organizational goals
Review and identifying financial needs of the company and a
strategy how to fund it
Preparation and submission of monthly financial statements
Exposure to IFRS
Review of operations, controls in supply chain, efficiency
of operations,
Controlling and monitoring all financial assets and
liabilities
Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective
processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and
accurate reporting
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable
laws, rules, and regulations
Coordinating with local authorities on various taxation,
accounting and legal matters
Ensuring all taxation and related compliances
Coordinating with internal and external auditors ensuring
timely completion of audit of financial statements
Coordinating with all Heads of Departments for efficient
operating practices
Implement effective staff training program wherever required
in finance and accounting department
Carry out any other tasks assigned by top management
The position requires traveling to Central Africa other city
Qualification:
Professional qualification – Chartered Accountant
Experience 12~15+ years post qualification, preferably with
mining industry experience/process industry
Exposure to ERP system
