Experience in Metallurgical / Chemical / Petro-chemical /
Mining industries. Preferably from Hydro-metallurgical background
Formal Sheq Training
Experience With Mining Companies Recognized For Their Good
Safety Programs
Development & Implementation of Safety system &
procedures in the organisation
Site/Crew Training Of The Above
Inculcate the safety culture among the staff at all levels
Be In A Position (Should We Choose) To Apply For ISO &
OHSAS Certification
Site supervision
Have a Comprehensive Safety Program In Place That Functions
Have Demonstrated That Our Safety Program Is Working And
Statistics Show A Trend For Improvement
Have A Proper Safety Team In Place
Review Of Current Existing Procedures
Audit Of Existing Procedures
Establishing Baseline Statistics
Roll Out Existing Procedures To All Sites
Review Of Training; And Implementation Where Necessary
Preparation / Review of Electrical Engineering documents
Training Of External Crews (Driving, Fire-fighting, First
Aid)
See The Emergence Of A Safety Culture Among Crews And Staff
Have History Of Safety Audits, With Improving Trend
Have The Company In A Position To Do The First Self Audit
For ISO & OHSAS Certification.
Gap Analysis Between Above Audit And Final Certification
Have Plan For Final Steps Towards Certification
Proven Experience In Difficult Client Interactions (For
Example After A Serious Incident)
Valid Driver’s License, Passport. And Will Need To Pass An
Internal Driving Test
Comprehensive Computer Skills, MS-Office Suite
