Instrument Engineer - Central Africa

Location: Central Africa

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation & Control with 5 to 7 years of experience in Metal / Process Chemicals in Project & Maintenance.

Should have worked experience of minimum 2-3 years as a Project engineer.

Experience with Maintenance is preferable.

Candidate shall have worked on PLC & SCADA, DCS, RIO’s, SMART Field Instruments with complex automation architecture with knowledge on latest communication protocols.

Must have working experience in Siemens System for programming & troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Shall have experience in project detail engineering deliverables for Instrumentation

Indenting & Ordering of Instruments with expedite drawing / document with delivery of materials to reach site to meet project schedule

Supervision of site erection activities for Control System, Cable Tray & Cable laying as per approved drawing, Field Instrument installation with proper coordination with instrument contractor & vendor executing major equipment at site.

Shall have knowledge on Process Safety.

Bend steel rods with hand tools and rod-bending machines, and weld them with arc-welding equipment.

Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.

Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, and hand tools.
