Assistant Manager – Sales & Business Development (Solar, Drilling & Water Solutions)
Location: Central Africa, requiring fluency in French and English (Swahili is a plus) – DR Congo
Position Overview
The role focuses on driving growth for Off-Grid Solar (OGS),
Drilling, and Water (RO) solutions by identifying and developing markets,
securing tenders, and building robust relationships across B2B, B2C, and B2G
segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify
new business opportunities through research, networking, and market
surveys.
- Generate
leads and convert them into proposals for private, government, and NGO
sectors.
- Prepare
and submit tenders, RFQs, and proposals, track outcomes, and improve win
rates.
- Manage
client relationships, resolve inquiries, and coordinate with technical
teams.
- Develop
dedicated verticals in water and off-grid solar solutions.
- Deliver
regular reports and drive revenue and KPI growth.
Requirements
- Education:
BE, B.Tech, MBA, or equivalent.
- Experience:
Minimum 4 years in sales or business development within solar, drilling,
water, or engineering sectors (experience in Sub-Saharan Africa
preferred).
- Skills:
Strong capabilities in tendering, contract management, negotiation, and
engaging clients.
- High
adaptability for multicultural Sub-Saharan contexts.
- Proven
track record in government or NGO engagement.
- Integrity,
confidentiality, and strong business acumen are essential.
