Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Security Guard to join our team in Central Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, premises, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control access to the workplace, ensuring identity verification and authorized entry only

- Conduct security procedures such as metal detection and bag checks

- Monitor video surveillance and respond to unusual activity

- Educate staff on security procedures and requirements

- Perform routine inspections and report incidents to local enforcement

- Comply with local and federal security regulations

- Prevent criminal activity and detain suspects if necessary

Additional Duties:

- Greet employees and visitors

- Manage visitor registration and logging

- Secure assigned posts and patrol premises on foot

- Prepare and maintain relevant registers (Visitor Register, Inward & Outward register, etc.)

Language Requirements:

- Proficiency in Hindi and English

- Knowledge of Swahili (local language) is an added advantage

Key Tasks & Essential Responsibilities

Allocated Section:

• Overall responsibility for handling shift operations and plant-related issues.

Planning:

1. Manage both day & night shift activities for field and plant jobs.

2. Ensure compliance with SOPs and job descriptions.

3. Develop schedules for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Shutdown activities.

4. Oversee operational activities in the Utility Section.

5. Plan daily manpower distribution and verify attendance.

Execution:

1. Review and submit the daily equipment checklist and PM reports to Section Head.

2. Train team members in operation and maintenance of equipment.

3. Monitor reports from condition-based inspection and monitoring.

4. Verify Daily Maintenance Reports.

5. Check and maintain shift logbooks for assigned sections.

Role Purpose

Drive growth across Off-Grid Solar (OGS), Drilling, and Water (RO) solutions by identifying markets, winning tenders, and building strong B2B, B2C, and B2G relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities through research, networking, and market surveys.
• Generate leads and convert to proposals across private, government, and NGO sectors.
• Prepare and submit tenders, RFQs, proposals; track results and improve win rates.
• Manage client relationships, resolve queries, and coordinate with technical teams.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Generator Unit, Engineering Section, the incumbent is responsible for Maintenance, repair, overhaul, and rebuilding of high-speed diesel generators and its Auxiliaries within a sector of the Work Area.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Receive Engineering Work Order Requests (EWRs), prints or sketches for the job. Must be able to read blue prints and sketches,

• Operate & maintain Diesel engine Sets.

• Repairs Mechanical fault in DG Sets & Its Auxiliaries.

• Read and interprets mechanical drawings.

• Installs generator sets ranging from 4 to 2250 KVA for complete generating stations;

• To Perform the Engine Overhauling & Trouble shootings.

• Perform other duties as required.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION

Educational Qualification: Certificate showing technical competency at the journey level as a Generator Mechanic.

Technical Qualification: Minimum ten years of experience as Generator Mechanic

Minimum three years of work experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of diesel generators, including experience with Volvo and Perkins diesel engines;

Experienced and competent in use of machine tools and measuring instruments, including lathe and drill, calipers, micrometers, telescopic, trammel and pressure gauges; high speed diesel alternators in the range 4-2250 KVA;

Others • Demonstrable ability to work with a multi-national workforce required;
