JOB PURPOSE
·
Responsible for the overall management of the
maintenance & project functions of the plant. Key responsibilities include
the management for maintenance systems, modification and improvement projects.
Requirements include a strong background in maintenance methods, equipment
reliability, plant processes, and equipment operation. Type a major function
and purpose of this job a candidate can expect to assume in this position.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Manage the mechanical and project resources
to provide the most efficient and cost effective operation.
·
Plan and achieve maintenance goals and
objectives consistent with overall plant targets.
·
Establish and manage maintenance budget and
cost control initiatives.
·
Review and evaluate maintenance programs,
preventive/predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling, equipment
reliability, supplier performance, and project work.
·
Manage the month & annual plant
turnaround and equipment shutdowns.
·
Provide expertise in the troubleshooting and
diagnosis of plant system problems to achieve minimal disruptions in
operations.
·
Ensure compliance requirements are met
through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of
Group guidelines, completion of required training, and monitoring compliance.
·
Proactively manage safety and health of
employees to continuously improve the company’s safety and health performance
·
Continues direct communication with the
client including regular project meetings, daily, weekly & monthly project
reports, project briefing and reviews.
·
Ensure all projects are carried out to strict
safety and environmental guidelines upholding the standard operating systems.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS
Possess
relevant qualifications in Project Management, engineering (B.Tech) and strong
mech./maintenance background
Minimum of 5
years’ experience in mineral industrial environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
·
Demonstrated expertise in the areas of
preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance programs, project
management and the inspection, repair and installation of equipment.
·
Knowledge of safe work practices and safety
regulations.
·
Proficient with MS Project, MS Office, CAD
and ERP applications.
·
Financial management skills including
budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
·
Demonstrated experience in leadership and
project management, problem solving, strategic thinking and decision making.
