Job Description:

• Must have experience in *copper and/or cobalt mining* or metallurgy operations, with leadership role.
• *Expertise in copper and cobalt extraction, processing*, along with a deep understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in managing large teams, operational budgets, and large-scale mining projects.
• Operations Management (Oversee the day-to-day operations of copper and cobalt production units, including mining, SAP, smelting, crushing, milling, leaching, SX-EW, optimize copper extraction and enhance production and ensure reporting)
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in all aspects of operations, Lead and promote a safety-first culture across the team and all operational processes)

• Cost and Budget Management (Develop, control and manage the unit’s OPEX and CAPEX, ensuring cost control measures are in place and Responsible for unit’s profit and loss (P&L) for production, mining and operations)

As the Manager - India Operations, you will be instrumental in setting up and leading NGO initiatives in India. Essential Expertise, Skills, and Competencies:

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in managing and executing social development projects, with a strong focus on either education (scholarship programs, training initiatives) or environment (recycling, reforestation, green initiatives).
• Comprehensive understanding of Indian laws and regulations governing non-profit organizations, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), and Income Tax exemptions (80G/12A).
• Proven ability to develop, manage, and oversee project budgets effectively, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Piling Operations Foreman to enhance our operational capability at our Kinshasa branch. This critical role will be responsible for independently managing and overseeing all aspects of piling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of both land and offshore piling techniques and a proven track record of successfully leading piling teams in complex construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Independently manage and oversee all on-site piling activities, from planning and execution to completion.
• Standardization: Develop and implement standardized piling execution methods that align with current project scopes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Coordination: Efficiently coordinate all site activities related to piling operations, ensuring seamless integration with other construction teams and client representatives.
• Supervision: Provide direct supervision and guidance to the piling team, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.

Required Expertise, Skills, and Competencies:

• Minimum of 15-20 years of extensive piling experience, with in-depth knowledge of both land and offshore piling techniques.
• Proven expertise in supervising reinforced concrete work, drilling operations, and pile cage operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and stakeholders.  
• Familiarity with organizational best practices in construction management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage piling operations independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Proficiency in French and Swahili is highly preferred.

Training and Development:

• Continuous language training in both French and Swahili.
