Inventory Management
·
Day to day
management of the Stock Control System ensuring stock levels are maintained at
all times to meet the operational needs of the Service.
·
To ensure
stock issues are properly authorized and in accordance with agreed levels.
·
To ensure
accurate accountability of all transactions to and from the stores.
·
To
facilitate periodic checks of the quantities of materials held in stock,
including impress stocks held on sites
in accordance with standing orders.
·
To maintain
Bin Cards and regular cross check the quantities with the actual stocks.
·
To assist
the Stores Manager in the implementation and monitoring of security and control
measures for all stock held within the function.
Vendor Management
·
RFQ, PO
generations, GRN preparations & Certify invoices for payment when required.
·
To seek the
appropriate approvals for the Management, in order to establish need and seek
value for money. Financial awareness of cost and income comparison and ability
to identify and recommend Value For Money improvements.
·
To ensure
delivery of materials to site or collection from suppliers is undertaken and
monitored against performance criteria and where suppliers do not meet the
correct standards be proactive in resolving and performance issues.
Stores Office Management
·
Ensure the
stores area is kept clean and tidy and free from hazards.
·
Responsible
for the security of the Stores both internally and within the associated
outside storage area or other locations as appropriate.
·
Manage the
use of all plant and hand tools servicing, repair and maintaining inventory,
and replenishment accountability. Technical knowledge associated with domestic
Repairs & Maintenance products, safe packaging, storage and handling and
application of multi skilled resources.
Stores
Manpower Management
·
Responsible
for initial staff discipline under the terms of the Discipline Procedure and
dealing with first stage of the Grievance Procedure.
·
To manage
the activities and performance of the Stores team members, reviewing and
monitoring personnel with regard to performance, effectiveness and development
including maintenance of skills and arranging suitable training as required.
·
Responsible
for ensuring repairs of PPE and operational equipment are to relevant
standards.
·
Work
actively with stores officers and promote good employee relations and safety
practices in accordance with the stores.
Pro
Management
·
Assist in
the continued development of the Electronic Stores system, liaising with the IT
Manager and Stores Manager to ensure Stores related IT systems are fit for
purpose and updated as required.
·
Assist in
the management and development of the Stores Business Plan.
·
To assist
the Stores Manager in the formulation and implementation of Stores Policies and
Procedures.
·
To raise
purchase orders for materials in line with procedures, standing orders and
financial regulations.
·
Responsible
for ensuring the requirements of health and safety and relevant statutory
legislation is implemented in all Stores areas.
·
To keep
up-to-date with best practice, new initiatives and business opportunities in
all areas relating to this role.
·
To undertake
such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required
and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this post,
including deputizing for the Stores Manager as required.
